Route 66 and Motor Row Rave

Aug 6, 2004
Most of you know that Route 66 begins in downtown Chicago, and ends... where? Times up, turn in your papers.
What folks on the Route 66/Motor Row Rave learned is that at one time Chicago was the automobile showroom capital of the country (world). The remnants of that time can still be found on the near south side in the form of long defunct company names prominently displayed on the buildings that once housed their showrooms.
Come along on the route that's the best.

Philip leading the Rave lays out the simple to follow instructions; emphasis on simple. You'll note Heidi's what da' f*ck expression as Philip wanders into a dissertation on the difference in the composition of the original Route 66 asphalt and today's paving techniques.
